Eric A. Wesling
President

Mr. Wesling is President of First West Properties. Mr. Wesling is a real estate professional with 25 years experience acquiring, managing and developing real estate across Canada. Mr. Wesling spent 18 years with Oxford Properties Group Inc. leading to his role as Senior Vice-President, Western Canada before forming his real estate consulting practice in 1998.

While at Oxford Properties Group Inc., Mr. Wesling was responsible for management of the renovation of major commercial properties ranging in scope from $20-$200 million, project management of new development construction projects with values ranging from $8-$600 million including Calgary Eaton Centre (Calgary) and Ernst and Young Tower (Calgary), and acquisition of commercial properties including Gulf Canada Square (Calgary), Calgary Tower (Calgary), Palliser Square (Calgary), 401 West Georgia (Vancouver) and Granville Square (Vancouver).
Mr. Wesling was a founder and Vice Chairman of the Edmonton Downtown Development Corporation and President and Chief Executive Officer of Avellann Networks Inc., a wireless real estate company, from 1999 until the company was sold in 2002. In his real estate consulting practice, Mr. Wesling was involved with the identification of land, office and retail commercial properties in Canada and the United States for developers and investors, master planning of land development projects with land developers and First Nation communities, and restructuring distressed real estate opportunities to maximize stakeholder returns. He was educated at the University of Saskatchewan (Bachelor of Education) and University of Portland in Oregon (Masters Degree in Administration).

Brad Kroeker
Portfolio Manager

Brad is presently Real Estate Portfolio Manager for First West Properties and is responsible for sourcing and valuing prospective real estate investments, overseeing all aspects of property life cycle from acquisition, property management, development and improvements to disposition, sourcing tenants, negotiating leases and identifying potential buyers.

Brad has over 12 years of experience in the commercial real estate business with both Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers International in progressively more senior roles and ultimately as Associate Vice President.   He has completed a wide variety of valuation and consulting assignments in Calgary and across Western Canada encompassing Industrial, Retail, Office and Multi-Family Asset Classes.   He worked with clients on appraisal assignments for acquisition, disposition, acquisition, financing and internal purposes as well as assistance with due diligence in real estate transactions.  In addition, Brad has also completed consulting assignments for private clients as well as various levels of government.
Brad obtained his B.Sc. degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000 and achieved his AACI designation in 2007 along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Valuation from the University of British Columbia.
